This issue has a strong sense
of family to it, from a Wedding Made in Heaven, to our "News Of"
column.
This is the last spring of the
millennium and as this year quickly comes to an end, I hope each and every
one of you takes the time to remember a friend or family member. Let's
renew those relationships, and strengthen those ties with those we love
and care about. When we remove ourselves from the throws of work, and
obligations, will the friends and family you've been neglecting still be
there? Sure they will, but we all need to take the time to insure it.
During the last few months, I
have been fortunate to meet some new friends, The Anderson and Hoopes
family, The Ferm family, and the Haug family. I have also had the good
fortune to have continuing friendships, sometimes from afar, with dear
people like Michael Patris, Paul Rippens, Edna Smith, Christopher Nyerges,
Gary Mendes, and Lee Brown. I also want to mention my hard working amigos
from the Scenic Mt. Lowe Historical Committee, and YOU, my readers. All of
you, thanks for being there!
Now get out there and enjoy
the beautiful weather we are having, the spring flowers, and have a great
summer
Yours,
Jake Brouwer
